LiveAngle

Your photo, alive at every angle. Pick any photo. LiveAngle finds the people, pets and cars in it, lifts them off the background and paints in what was hidden behind them. Tilt your phone and the picture moves like a window — near things one way, far things the other.

Move your mouse over it — or tilt your phone

What happens to your photo

  1. It looks. An AI that knows people, pets, cars and everyday things finds what is in the photo.
  2. It cuts them out. A second AI outlines each one — down to loose hair and fur — and lifts it off the picture.
  3. It measures depth. A third works out what is near and what is far, for every point of the photo.
  4. It paints in what was behind. Where a person or a car stood, the background is filled in from what is around it, so nothing turns black when they move.
  5. You tilt, it moves. Every point moves by how near it is, the way a real camera sees it from a step to the side.

You watch it happen: the outlines, the depth and the filling are drawn live on your photo while it works. Don't like what it picked? Tap the pencil — remove an object or add one with a tap.

Real reflections on cars

A car in a photo already carries its reflections — the sky on the bonnet, the light along the chrome, the world in the windows. LiveAngle keeps them where they are and lets them move: tilt the phone and the light slides across the paint, the chrome and the glass, while the car itself stays put. Nothing is invented — only the reflections that are in your photo move.
